I have been calling this lovely typewriter Princess Diana. Typewriter works beautifully. Royal "DIANA, 1959, Made in the USA, This little gem is a Two toned light gray, Serial #DTP 91577. My guess has been pretty accurate so far.

Regardless of such old age, the Simplex typewriter works very well! The comfortable keys are responsive, and it provides customizable functions for comfortable typing. We no longer have our tanks. We used to strip them down to their bones and the tanks would take over.

I tried it out and though it did type, the ribbon needs replaced because the lettering was very light. This will also need cleaned and lubricated as the “a”, “n”, and “6” do stick. This has been in storage for over 20 years ! There is a small chip out of the edge of the top case has seen in the pictures
