Very cool old Smith Premier 2 typewriter made by the Smith Premier Typewriter Company in Syracuse, New York. The number stamped on the machine, 2606, indicates it was made in either 1896 or '96. It is for display or repair. It is not fully functional. It is a lovely piece though. And quite amazing the way they built it..... all the metal bars and springs and screws levers.
