The serial number suggests it was manufactured in 1971 in Japan. This unit has been tested (see pictures for the keys that were used) and is currently working. The ribbon will need replaced soon. The typewriter is gray and the cover is tan and fits snugly.

This is a hard-to-find item with it's wide carriage. The actual surface space on the carriage is 20 inches wide. The carriage itself is 24 inches wide. This typewriter is in working condition. There are some things to note. First, it is missing the carriage lever. Second, the No. 6 key stands out above others and needs adjusting (this can be seen in photos). Third, there end piece on the carriage is cracked. This is also show in photos. I've tested all the keys, tabs, etc. and they're in good working order. The ribbon is faint and needs new ink or needs replacing.
