The serial number dates this typewriter in the 1927 era or 99 years old. The typewriter types well as you can see from the examples. All four Top plates, bottom plate, carriage, keys, have been removed and/or cleaned.

This is a lovely Remington Rand typewriter made in the USA in the 1940s. We are no experts about these machines so we would love to hear any knowledge about this particular rare model, "Quiet Model 1". The advancing mechanism that rolls the paper does not seem to grab the paper well. The ribbon is obviously mostly dried out. No buttons are missing. Notice that the machine latches into its case but is removable as well. This is a beautiful display piece and we believe it could easily be in full working order.
