Seems to work but I couldn't get the ribbon to stay in place as you can see in the 3rd picture every time I put it in the groves & tightened the spools it still kept falling down so I couldn't type a whole sentence to show in the pictures, will likely be best to buy a new ribbon anyway. Will have it packaged safely & immobilize the carriage.

The serial number is 4375024 and dates it as a 1971 model and I'm not certain if it's the SM8 or SM9 model. I show close up photos of the bottom and inside of the unit and the inside areas are in great and clean shape.

Royal Arrow portable typewriter with case and owner's manual. Typewriter would benefit from a fresh ribbon (see typed sample in photo #3). No sticking keys and good action on all other features. Right platen knob is a little loose. Typewriter is otherwise in decent shape with no missing or damaged parts beyond some mild corrosion and dust in the hard to reach areas. The case is in good condition with functioning latches. Please refer to the photos for a further evaluation of condition.
