This is a lovely Remington Rand typewriter made in the USA in the 1940s. We are no experts about these machines so we would love to hear any knowledge about this particular rare model, "Quiet Model 1". The advancing mechanism that rolls the paper does not seem to grab the paper well. The ribbon is obviously mostly dried out. No buttons are missing. Notice that the machine latches into its case but is removable as well. This is a beautiful display piece and we believe it could easily be in full working order. This is a blue Brother Webster Xl-500 ultra portable manual typewriter from November 1968 in 11 pitch type (11 cpi). This is a VERY CLEAN MACHINE!
