Royal Companion Portable Typewriter Working Vintage 40s 50s wCase Mechanical I believe this is a 1950s model but may be later 40s. Came from the estate of a man who wrote for various Ohio newspapers. Tested and working, could use a new ribbon. Keys moved pretty easily, none of them stuck when i was testing it. Has been stored in a climate controlled home for many years so it’s in pretty nice shape. Would benefit from a deep cleaning but I didn’t experience anything that requires a repair.

It was in the attic when my family bought our house in the eighties. We've never used it, but it shows clear signs of use. One end is missing from the leather carry handle on the case, but I don't know anything about this machine to assess if other things are missing.

Great looking typewriter it needs some cleaning and faceplate is broken on right side(see pictures). Ink is run dry it wouldn’t imprint on the paper I tested very well. Some of the paint is rubbed off on the side and some of the keys get stuck when pressed. The case has dust and blemishes from age use and storage and some stitching near the zipper is coming undone(see picture)

Very nice ivory colored key board and space bar. Has a few blemishes on the paper rest from the years of service but few elsewhere. The original platen, paper feed, original feet, back space, margin release, tab are in good working condition and the ribbon feed, new ribbon, bell work well.
