2 volumes in good+ condition. Thick and heavy, 10.5” x 7.5”, 7lbs.+, 1,950+ pages, 30 pages of adverts. Pages are slightly toned, a little darker at the margins. They’re clean, unmarked. A couple of pages have the small shadow of a cheap paper bookmark. Joint repairs front and back on Vol 1, just the back on vol 2. Binding is good. The exteriors have corners bumps and lightly worn/pressed spine cover ends. Boards are straight and clean. Inscription on the first fly leaf both books. Multiple authors covering a large amount of diseases, conditions, and treatments. Good illustrations.

The leather is cracked along the bottom half of the spine connection to the front board, but the book and binding are secure. The page facing the title page bears writing that is faint with age, but one can make out "Lyon's View Asylum" which refers to an institution in Knoxville Tennessee housing more than 1600 inmates that was so notorious that it was investigated by the Tennessee legislature in the late 1800's.
