I tested all the inputs, the knobs and the headphone jack. Everything works. I unplugged the unit and all the wires, gave it a dedicated wall outlet and the problem fixed itself, so it looks like the CAP5 protection system works.

The only known issue is the tuner plug It has a specific style plug that only fits or can be plugged into this amplifier. Phono / tuner / auxiliary or CD &. It fits it works but there's a little tab that locks it in & that tab long snapped off but it does stay secure in the amplifier.
