Diskettes may be recycled disks, but all have been verified to be in good working order on our own Windows 98 SE PC. Disks are not write-protected. (This does NOT install Windows 98SE). However towards the very late 90s, most vendors standardized on IDE/ATAPI CD-ROM hardware and the use of the OEM Adaption Kit (OAK) driver.
