In addition to the Bypass Plug being a variable in tuning the audio quality, you can also further tune by flipping the orientation of the 2-pin power cable plug at the rear of the amplifier. When the power cable plug is oriented one way, the audio will have more compressed dynamics and a more narrow soundfield (although it may at first sound like there's more height), with more harshness on the highs.
