This book constituted the first appearance of a work by Lovecraft in hard cover. In both instances the page that closed on the clipping was discolored by the newspaper clipping. This 72 page, 5 3/4” x 9 1/4” book is hardcover with blue cloth and gold lettering, with gold embossing along the top edge of each page.
