I have placed all items that are removable in the dishwasher for cleaning and cleaned the main unit by hand but I dk recommend cleaning on arrival. There are many small and moving parts and I’d recommend cleaning even from the factory. Comes with several pasta shapes. This does take some trial and error and some work before and after but it was a lot of fun.
