This is a Uniden Bearcat BC355N that has been modified with a BC355 Data Discriminator Tap and a 3.5mm Low Pass digital filter audio cable. This unit has all the attributes and functions of a traditional BC355N scanner for analog radio receiving but also allows for digital receiving of APCO P25 Phase 1, motoTRBO, NXDN Nexedge, Provoice EDACS and X2-TDMA digital trunking system codecs.
