BND (British National Dolls) began making dolls in the 1930s in London. During the 1940s, they produced all composition dolls. These dolls featured composition bodies, similar to the German and French bisque head dolls.During the 1950s, BND produced a wide range of hard plastic dolls and vinyl headed dolls, with rooted hair on hard plastic bodies by the late 1950s.
