Epinions FROM THE FRYING PAN INTO THE .... WELL, CERTAINLY NOT THE FIRE!

by  Donnie013,  Jun 18, 2004
Pros: rotating basket, temperature control, thermostat light, easy drain system
Cons: none at all
The Bottom Line: It really makes frying easier and cleaner. What a thrill to cook things and get them done right the first time and every time!
Review: The deep fryer I had was already hitting its 10 birthday. Yes it still worked, but it looked like it was 10 years old. I felt I was ready for a new one. With so many on the market, I wanted one that would make my life easier – but did such a deep ...

Epinions No More Mess - revised

by  owling,  Jul 1, 2000
Pros: use less oil; constant temperature; easy cleaning; less mess
Cons: fog on viewing window
Review: revised

I admit it, we love fried foods. No matter how much we tell ourselves to eat more healthily, my fiancee and I keep coming back to fried foods. Recently we saw an episode of one of our favorite cooking shows, "Good...

Epinions We Make our OWN Tortillas chips!

by  emiejo,  Apr 3, 2001
Pros: Cooks evenly, safe to use and less messy than the conventional "fryer".
Cons: Fogged up view window and possible steam burns.
The Bottom Line: Go to Amazon.com and type in Delonghi Fryers in the search. This model is the "Cool Touch"...they have a nice photo of it there.
Review: Okay...so no biggie...but it is fun to make a batch of fresh tortilla chips now. In fact....deep frying anything is a piece of cake. Donuts, burritos, chicken, french fries and more....we have cooked them all in the Delonghi Deep Fryer.

The...

Epinions No more fires!

by  greenie3,  Dec 11, 2000
Pros: Safety of product paramount for parents.
Cons: Watch escape steam on opening.
Review: After a particularly nasty kitchen fire, caused by someone dropping a basket of wet chips into the hot oil rather rapidly, (yes, that would be me), it was decided that a fryer with a lid and definitely a plug in, was to be placed on the shopping...

Epinions An asset to the kitchen

by  merrymousies,  Aug 10, 2002
Pros: Rotates food, cleans up easily, easy to use
Cons: none so far
The Bottom Line: Glad to have this as part of my kitchen tool kit. It works really well and adds a new dimension to my cooking
Review: This is a good kitchen tool. I'm glad I bought it but I must admit I'm just learning what to cook and not cook in it. Being vegetarian I really wanted to make deep fried tofu but learned you need to use the kind that's extra firm or you need to dry it...

Epinions After a fire in our home...

by  auntiesbears,  Feb 14, 2000
Pros: Less oil, less mess, safer
Cons: can't find any
Review: We had a fire in our home 6 years ago because my husband left a pan of grease on the stove and went out. We lost nearly everything. A grease fire is devistating even if it doesn't leave the kitchen because it smokes for a long time before igniting.

Epinions I Now Have A Fighting Chance To Fry Like The Pros

by  re26,  Oct 31, 2000
Pros: User friendly, great instructions, Effortless cleaning, No Odors!
Cons: Lack of colors (white only for U.S. version), Price
Review: I consider myself somewhat skilled in the area of cooking, except when it comes to frying things. Frying foods (by some considered to be one of the easiest methods of cooking aside from boiling hotdogs or eggs) has always brought me to my knees.

Epinions Best fryer I've ever had.

by  genemt,  Feb 19, 2000
Pros: Less oil saturation, easy and filtering system.
Cons: No cons on the new model.
Review: I bought a model of the rotary fryer a number of years ago because it was a rotary and I do quite a bit of frying. It seems that there is a lot less grease absorption by the fried food. It cooks fast and evenly, which is great since I always seem to...

Epinions Rotate the oil Away

by  niseebrat,  Jan 25, 2000
Pros: Convenient and Easy to Use
Cons: Basket handle sometimes slips
Review: I have one of the first De Longhi rotating deep fryers. It is one of the best small appliances I own. It is very convenient and so easy to use with little or no mess what so ever. It is great for a small amount of food or cooking in great quantities....

Epinions Roto frying, it really works

by  popo2,  May 20, 2001
Pros: Best fried food, crisp and light
Cons: none that I have experienced
The Bottom Line: Works as advertised delivering up the best fried foods a home fryer can prepare.
Review: I purchased the roto fryer based on the epinions site recommendations. I have been perfectly happy with it. From the first day the french fries, fish, zucchini chips and anything else we have put in it has come out perfectly crisp and not oily at all....
